Biography-

Clinton Everitte Raynor

Clinton Everitte Raynor began his odyssey on April 11 th , 1976 seeing the light of day in Sweeny, Texas. He progressed through the regular educational process until age 16, when he began the voyage that ultimately forged his life goals and inspiration into the artistic level of creativity he has currently achieved and exhibits.

The catalyst was the award in 1993 of the Texas Congress Bundestag Scholarship. This honor named Mr. Raynor the Texas State Congress Youth Ambassador to Germany. He resided in Cologne, Germany for one year and subliminally absorbed the Gothic culture of that venerable city. He returned to Sweeney, Texas in 1994 and graduated from High School.

The impact of his year in Germany upon his artistic psyche compelled him to return to Germany. There while in Cologne he pursued his artistic inclinations by enrolling in the University of Art, Music, and Science. To meet the economic needs of his educational pursuits, Clinton became an apprentice in applied floral arts. This not only enhanced and honed his innate understanding of color and compatibility, it brought to the forefront his talent for sculpting. The ultimate joy of this educational renaissance was the marriage of his talents for painting and sculpture with his ability to create poetry and music compositions.

On December 26, 1997 Clinton was diagnosed with HIV. He denuded himself of all his material possessions, and moved to Hollywood, Florida to be near his elder brother. Armed only with his artistic talent he began the struggle and allowed his art to propel him through the difficult years ahead. His efforts resulted in a series of canvases that eventually became his first one man show in 2002, titled “Coming Out of the Dark.” Representative of his then despair the show was highlighted by his painting “ Anguish.

After this period he joined efforts with two of his closest friends and opened mere xpressions formerly located at 2700 Biscayne Boulevard in Miami, Florida.    Here he expanded his creations and sculpted several outstanding pieces always leaping time in his designs. During this period, Clinton's imagination achieved a new level, it became more spiritual and personal. Today he paints with optimism, belief in a spiritual strength melding all his talent and experience!

His first show “Coming Out of the Dark” was during Miami's Art Basel 2002 and the second during Art Miami 2003 . His art has also been in exhibited in several private showings in Miami, Florida; Houston, Texas; and Cologne, Germany.

Clinton has also donated a painting titled “Love Embraces Us”   for the 2003 Dinning by Design event at local Designer “Stephen Shield” Table.

Clinton was featured in several local newspapers and circulations such as WIRE Magazine
