Thank you again for your generous donations!

ANCIENT HISTORY...................................

Gypsy Bean is still recovering from severe mange and Ehrlekia, but I wanted to go ahead and start looking for a home for him.

I found Gypsy on Sept 1 2006, wandering around the Design District starving, dehydrated and limping. His joints were severely swollen, and he had multiple lesions in addition to mange. I finally convinced him to get in the truck with me, but I had to help him, since he was too weak to make the jump.

Once I got him home, he drank a bunch of water then slept for about 2 hours. He was immediately very grateful, sweet and loving.

Now three weeks have passed, he's still pretty bald but he holds his head up with pride and wags his tail all the time. He is no longer contagious, and is well on his road to recovery.

Gypsy is about 6-7 yrs old, but we still can only guess as to his breed mix since we don't know what he will look like yet. The guesses are: Afghan Hound, Point, Newfoundland and Lab.

Please contact me with any questions, or if you would be so kind as to donate to help cover his medical bills (which are high!). Thanks so much, and keep sending his warm thoughts to help his recovery.

Gypsy Bean Update

Thanks to the generous donations of donors at Bullfrog Eatz and from MySpace, look at how well Gypsy Bean is doing! He has gained 8.6 pounds, and his red blood cell count is up from 27 to 34! Now we just need to wait for his hair to grow back and find him a great loving home. Your continued support will be greatly appreciated to help pay the rest of his bills, and help us help more rescued street dogs.
