Ever feel like your best friend stabbed you in the back? In the years since I founded the rescue I often feel that must be the way many of the pets must feel, wandering starving on the streets or crying at the shelters. This year, however, I met a Pit Bull who put this saying into a new perspective…

Meet McChomperton! He is a beautiful adult red nosed Pit Bull. One morning in early February 2008 we got a call about a dog found abandoned in a closed dumpster. When we arrived we did not expect to find a full grown Pit Bull, happy to see us, after spending two nights in a dark and empty dumpster. We used a blanket under his torso to lift him out, and as soon as he was close to rescuer Teri’s face, he started giving kisses.

This is the MODEL rescue. He was endured more pain than any of us at the rescue can imagine, and yet, he is ALL KISSES.

It has been a long time coming, but after recovering from his stab wound inflicted by a man with a butcher knife (who is charged with abuse and has served time), receiving treatment for his heart worms, all his shots, and finally getting neutered, he is READY to meet you ALL!

This party is for everyone who donated and everyone who continues to help us help wonderful rescues like McChomperton.

Pets are welcome, we will have Dani Campbell, a Pit Bull owner, from a Shot at Love with Tila Tequila, there to meet and greet, the Broward County Derby girls selling raffles tickets for AWESOME prizes, 2-4-1 drink specials and a bunch of happily rescued dogs in attendance!
