THIS GIRL IS READY!!! She has done GREAT in her foster home, is awesome with other dogs and all people. She is such a sweetheart, she is the official rescue welcomer doggy when we get new guys that are scared!

History

Alli Gator has one of those stories that doesn't even sound real. Once again, she is a Pit that is a testament to the nobility of her breed. Alli was one of those Pits you see, driving through poor neighborhoods, chained up in a yard. The chain had been on her so long she has sever sore on her neck. At some point maybe she was cared for, but she has not had any food in at least a few weeks, as is evident by her emaciated frame. What follows is her story, as pieced together by neighbors and a kind homeless man who saved her life.

Alli was a neglected dog, chained up in a yard and deprived water or food. On Friday night (Nov 16 2007) she somehow got her chain lose and ran away. As she was running through the neighborhood she went to cross a set of train tracks and her chain got stuck in the tracks. About that same time, a homeless man, down on his luck, prayed to find a dog to keep him company. Around 4 am that Saturday morning he passed by the train tracks were Alli was stuck and saw her. At first he was scared to approach her since she looked so bad, but when a train appeared in the distance he approached her and got her off the chain that was lodged in the tracks. She followed him around for the next few hours and brought him immense joy. But as the sun rose he knew he could not care for her or get her the medical treatment she needed. He came across people who were able to contact us,and we took her into our rescue on the spot.

She is now receiving medical treatment, lots of good food and love. She is still in quarantine but she will be soon be ready for adoption. She is a SPECIAL girl and we need to find a loving forever home who will show her all the love she has been craving.

Please help us find her a home! And any little bit helps to cover her bills!
