ADOPT ME!

Corona is a 6 month old Cattle Dog mix, probably with some German Shepherd. She is an extremely outgoing, friendly little girl, currently weighing in at 28 pounds (and we are guessing will be about 45 pounds when grown). Her hair is a beautiful brown, red and black brindle, and her ears are just to die for! Corona has been living in my home for the past two months, with a blind mini doxie, a big rescue boy Doberman and a HUGE girl Doberman. She has never met a dog or a person she doesn't like! I have taught her to sit and stay, and her down is pretty good. She is completely integrated in eating with the pack, so no food aggresion problems here. She is also housetrained (though her new family needs to remember she IS young, and needs to go out after she eats and at least 5 times a day, especially when she gets excited). We are looking for a home that can provide a lot of attention for her, and preferably a home that has a BIG fenced yard. She LOVES to run and play, and a home with another high energy dog would be ideal. She loves to go to the dog park, and is great in doggy day care programs. Her background: Corona was one of those puppies that was too cute for her own good. She was taken into MDAS as a stray, then spayed and adopted out. Promptly she was returned, then adopted out again. And returned. MDAS does a great job with getting dogs adopted, but does little screening when it comes to the high demands of a dog like a puppy Cattle dog. These guys need a LOT of excercise, and a LOT of pateint and consistent training and attention. I have been rescuing dogs for years now, and Corona will be one of the most dificult pups to adopt out because I love her so much. I want to find a home for her that will give her the attantion she needs and the guidance to become the amazing dog I know she will be.
