Sonsg I've written....

[HomePage] [Song I've written....]

I make music for fun and as a part of my life. I love to write songs, make up silly songs, and just enjoy music with my life, my work, my family and especially with my kids. It won't be overly processed nor perfect. It isn't really meant for anyone but myself or my family to enjoy although of course I hope somebody else likes it. Even playing in the band when I was younger we were better when we were just having fun and reacting to each other. Music is just that for me. A reaction to life.

I wish I could sing though......

POOP the Band!

I first started playing guitar with a close friend, Neal Sexton. Later his brother started playing drums, and his soon to be brother in law was playing bass. Many others came and went but in the end...

The Name of this band is Poop and that's what they sound like.....

Currently I play electric, acoustic and Bass guitars. I also plunk a keyboard every now and then. I mostly record on my eMac using GarageBand 2.

Current instruments

Hamer Explorer Standard (korean made)

I just bought this guitar this summer. Wanted a Hamer Explorer for 20 years, and finally bought this one. Would have loved a USA Hamer but the budget won't allow it. Was tempted to try to pick one up on eBay but when I played this one, the sound and action were perfect so I am very happy with it.

Cheap flying V with modified pickups. Far right.

Fender Bullit Bass purchased in 1981.

See Picture , first on the left, this bass is the airbrushed one. Ed McManus did the artwork. This was was much heavier than the others in the store. Had a better sound, more punch. Stripped the neck of varnish cause I liked the real wood feel.

My prize Hamer Bass (see below)

The keyboard is Dave's and you can see part of his electric. I'll probably put the whole picture here soon.
