The wait is (almost) over



Apple's new OS, Tiger, now has a firm release date. It will be available on April 29 after 6 PM.

I for one am eagerly awaiting it. Aside from the obvious new stuff (Spotlight for searching for anything on the computer and Dashboard, which looks like it will essentially replace Sherlock with a much better interface), I am interested in improvements to the Mail application, the Address Book application, and the Calendar application. And probably a bunch of others I don't yet know about yet.

I think I'll probably find myself at the party at the local Apple store on the 29th.
