Overheard - the Sound of Silence
One of those times when NOT hearing things
sends chills down a mother's spine
...
Mom: LittleD? Snack time!
no answer, no LittleD.
Mom: LittleD! Cookies!
no answer, no LittleD.
Mom: (walking around the house looking for LittleD) LittleD? Did you want a cookie?
hears tapping from the front bathroom ...
finds LittleD with a toy bowl and toy spoon, both full of water, set on the toilet as a table. LittleD is about to cheerfully spoon what can only be toilet water into his mouth. Mom decides to tell herself that this was the *first* spoonful and was intercepted in time. Please don't try to tell her otherwise.
