I could be in Hair Commercials


Posting my previous entry made me realize I never updated you on my hair. I'm sure you all were wondering. Well, no you weren't. Nearly everyone who reads my blog will have already seen my hair. I just have to say that I really like it. Third time's a charm, they say. The first two henna attempts were bright copper ... this last one is a darker, deeper color. Mahogany? Bing Cherry? I don't know, but I really like it. My lipstick no longer clashes with my hair. My favorite shirts look good again. Life is happy (if not sleepy) ... I also owe a lot of my happy hair to the people at The Long Hair Loom. And the Curly Girl book. And to my friend, April, who recommended the Curly Girl book. And to my friend Michelle, who actually recommended it long before April, but it took *both* recommendations for me to take it seriously. No offense, Michelle. I'm a little slow. Anyway, I've completely changed some of my hair care routines and started playing with fun new creations like homemade leave in conditioners and rinses ... along with the henna and indigo, it's a wondrous playground of adventure. Between the more gentle care and the conditioning and color of the indigo and henna, I just have to say I have great hair! Ok, ok, not every day. It still has it's days. But I'm happy with it, and that's nice to say. Kinda cancels out all those awful years in public school junior high. Almost.
