Web Free Day 1

Amazing the things we invent to do when our normal diversions are removed ... It's "quiet time" in the house, our 2 hour stretch of peace and tranquility and rest. I'll go nap soon, but right now I'm still eating pineapple. All my current email is read, and I'm not up to the task of decluttering old email at the moment.

Today is Day 1 of my "Web Free Days" ~ out router is set up to block web access from 8 am to 9 pm. Sad that a grown woman would need to resort to such juvenile measures, but "will power" hasn't seemed to work. I just spend too much time online each day. I would've kept Quiet Time access, but the router schedule doesn't work that way. So ... Here I am, eating Pineapple, and looking for things do to at the computer. Oh, sure, there's lots of inane games I could play, but I'd rather not stoop THAT low ... then I'd have to really call it wasting time. Blogging, web surfing ... those are things that can at least look like work ... well, to the visually impaired and hopelessly optimistic, anyway.

Sad that I don't have anything exciting to blog about. Did I ever tell you, o Blog, that I'm pregnant? that probably should've got an exciting post back a few weeks, but ... blogging is a sporadic adventure. So yes, I am, and am about 10 weeks along right now. It's nice, being pregnant is a blessing worth the oogies that come with the first few months. Nifty to think about a new baby growing deep inside ... will this baby tip the balance back to even, 3 boys and 3 girls? Or tip it further towards the boy side? We won't know until May. Some have asked if we've started thinking about names. No, not really. We have a nice database of Star Trek names so we're really not worried ... no hurry ...

My email icon is hopping happily in my dock, maybe there's something exciting there to occupy me while I hunt down the last of the Doritos. Need to get them out of the house, unhealthy things that they are. I've got the perfect disposal method. :)

Curious ~ I intended this to go in the "Whatever" category, but forgot to switch it. Now that it's once-saved, apparently switching is no longer an option! How sad. Update - Dale told me how, just drag it to the other folder. Duh!

Update II -- apparently iBlog wants some sort of http:// access to update, so I can't post this until my Web Free time has ended for the day. I finished off the Doritos and snuck the illicit Nutella instead. Bwah ha ha. It's better than web access anyway. Hmph.
