Robbie Lee and the Black
Heritage Gallery began actively marketing the work of Dr. John
Biggers, former head of the Art Department at Texas Southern
University and now, one of the most famous African American artists
in America, while he was still a teacher at TSU and was once
the exclusive outlet for Dr. Biggers' art. During the summer
of 1995, Dr. Biggers' life's work was celebrated by a huge exhibit
at the Houston Museum of Fine Art. |
