Raw foods are simply the best foods in the world. I grew up like most kids, drinking cow's milk and getting colds every winter. My mother used to have to weedle me to finish my milk by using a glass with a picture on the bottom. I didn't really want it. People who are raising raw kids speak of how much their kids just naturally take to the foods. The kids are healthy beyond the dreams of anyone in this society.
I discovered this kind of eating when I was around 28 and had just recovered from pneumonia. Someone gave me Become Younger, by Norman Walker. This same person introduced me to colonic irrigations. I began trying the change in diet and the colonics and experienced a sense of well-being I couldn't believe. I remained 100% raw for the whole next year. Unfortunately, I eventually succumbed to temptation to eat cooked food again and I was soon back on a SAD (standard American diet) again.
Last February (2003), I returned to raw foods and I have been 100% raw ever since. Again, it is working beautifully for me.

Although I preferred to put positive subjects foremost, an urgent situation now confronts us. - Colonic Irrigations. While this topic isn't, strictly speaking, about raw food, I believe it is highly relevant. A raw diet is highly cleansing to the colon and the purpose of colonics, is, of course, cleansing the colon. Many raw foodists practice colonics along side their diet and/or fasts to hasten the cleansing process. Norman Walker was a staunch believer in them.
