if god is completely self sufficient and omnipotent why should he offer us forgiveness for that matter does he not owe it to us given that if we are flawed he made us this way (and being omnipotent that he knows exactly who will accept him and who will not)

why have we left something so important as our afterlife and the acceptance of god to chance (alternatively why did he leave it to chance) - what happens to someone who never has the fortune to see this religion before he dies whether it is because he was stillborn or because they live in the jungles of africa

i would argue that the sacrifice of any mortals life to help his fellow man is easily as great as the sacrifice made by jesus christ upon the cross the reason i say this is because jesus knew that he was the son of god and therefore knew that his place in heaven was assured indeed he knew that heaven existed for him to return to no human being knows this and thus such a sacrifice by a mortal would be a sacrifice given knowing that there could be no heaven and that a place in such a heaven could not be assured following such a logic an atheist would be making an incomparable sacrifice for according to his belief he is giving away literally everything he has had or has or will ever have

why make this sacrifice
to relieve the world of evil
i see that evil tangles and deadens our souls and that its greatest wrong done to mankind is just that it has deadened our souls but i want to know why we are saving our own souls one of the reasons that i cannot believe in god (or any god) is because what they all teach is just this: believe in me and i will save your soul
i would believe in a god to save another persons soul
i believe in a god to save another persons life
i would believe in a god if i redress any of the wrongs done to the people of this world
i want someone else to live because i believed
