Wednesday
Wednesday was a FULL day @ Chitchen-Itza, the famous Mayan Ruins. The "coolest" thing about these ruins, is that you can climb on the "prymid"shaped one. Needless to say, we took alot of pictures of us climbing the steps. At some point in the near future, they will close the steps & you won't be able to climb them.
Here is a picture of Kristy climbing up the steps, with a view from the top. And here is Kristy coming down. Here is Kristy at the top, and here is me at the top. Here is a picture of me on the steps. This artsy picture kristy took, with the "observatory" in the background. Check out the lighting, cool, huh????
We HAD to take a picture of Kristy standing next to the "sacraficial pit". That's the pit they sacrificed people, animals, captives, and victors. It's actually bottomless, being fed by 7 different underground rivers.
We stopped at a MExican craft village on our way to Chitchen-Itza, and I loved the look of this redwall, so I posed for Kristy.
