Our first choice of rooms was at the Mirage, but we decided we "did" carribean alot.....so........... We chose to do Las Vegas the glitzy & overboard way, you know, classic Vegas. As a result, we chose to stay @ Ceasar's Palace. They didn't have a "standard room" available when we checked in, so we were upgraded to a larger room w/ a Jacuzzi tub. I used the tub on the last night we were there. The tub wasn't that impressive. Here's Kristy standing in front of Ceasar's. And of course, the roving romans. My DAVID pose at Ceasar's. Ceasars had a very impressive shopping mall, here's theFAO Schartz shop. To enhance the Ceasar's Experience, there were statues all over the place. Our last night in Vegas, we thought we'd try a casual restrante located in Ceasars. The Cafe Lago. Eating at the Lago. Our first night in Vegas, we attended a topless Las Vegas review show called "Jubilee". Aside from the fact that there were topless women all around, it was an excellent stage show.
Day Two - Anniversary day, we spent exploring. We didn't have much luck w/ good reasonably priced restaruarnts, so we decided to eat @ PF Changs. We were right next door to the Bellagio Hotel, which is famous for it's hourly water fountain display. Pictures really don't do this fountain justice, the water dances w/ the music that echos through the block. A day picture of the fountains. After dinner, we caought a $20.00 cab ride & went to Old Las Vegas to see the Freemont Experience. Basically, Old Vegas knew it was losing customers, so they built a huge video screen dome over two city blocks. The dome encompassed the famous "Glitter Gulch". I didn't get any pix of the show, but you can see the screen in the background of the previous picture.
We headed down to the newest section of town, where Mandalay Bay, MGM & NewYork New York were. We ran into some parrot toting ladies. My visit w/ the parrot was cut short b/c the parrot was in a "biting" mood. I took some awesome pictures of MGM at night. One. Two. Three... and a day shot for comparison. On looks alone, I love the Luxor. Me at the Luxor. Me inside the Luxor. The Spinx outside the Luxor.Getting a feel in front of the Luxor. I wanted to see Lance Burton at the Monte Carlo, but he was on vacation the week we were there, so we just took this picture. Kevin in front of New York, NY. Postcard shot of New York, NY.
Basically, Kristyt & I spent alot of time just walking around looking at stuff. When we visited Circus Circus, we played "chicken" chunk. I got my chicken in the bucket, which means I got a prize. Here I am in front of the Excailbur, and a decent shot of it at night. Cow Casino? When you're in Las Vegas, you can't pass up a chance to grab a feel. A Closeup of the merchandise. The famous landmark of "OLD" Las Vegas, the Stratosphere. The Strip, with the Luxor foreground, Excalibur & NewYork, NY. The Strip at night. Treasure Islannd had a free pirate battle three times nightly. Interesting show, nice place for pick pockets. The brand new Venetion, also one of our picks for NICE places.
When we go back, we decided we'll take it alot easier & hang out exclusively @ Paris Paris, NewYork NY, and the restaruarnt in Paris Paris, Mon Ami Gabe. An excellent restraurant.....a Parisian street cafe!!!!!!
