Dual Pelican, No Bleeper

Dual Pelican, No Bleeper (1997) was inspired by a road sign we came across while touring in Yorkshire. It has a drop-step movement and occasional unlinked figures which give a smooth yet rhythmic feeling to the dance. The figures are largely composed rather than traditional, and reversing their directions gives an unexpected twist - sort of like driving in England! The tune "Cam Ye O'er Frae France" is a border pipe tune in 12/8.
