Mr. Anderson's long nightmare

Went to see the film Matrix Revolutions (Please click Read More)

Being very late, we went to see Matrix Revolutions last Saturday. Many told us to see Reloaded before going to a cinema, so we saw it the night before at home.

Well, as most of the secret about the trilogy was revealed in Reloaded, my interest to the Revolutions was how far the fights (machine vs human, Neo vs Smith) would be BIG. The former one was fairly big, but I thought the machine would easily dominate Zion as the octopus-ish machines were just too many. They were so many that they looked like one big creature. APUs, on the other hand, did well, but the design was too clumsy (and looked very similar to the one in Aliens 2) and their weapon looked just out of time. They have that great technology and why use the BIG MACHINE GUN?

As far as the fight between Neo and Smith, it just looked like the cartoon Dragon Ball, and did not go beyond my expectation. I just thought about when Smith gets bigger (by collecting his copies) and when Neo blows Smith away with his 'energy ball'.

My final thought is that this is a story about the battle against a computer virus. So Smith the virus will be back soon. (I even thought Neo, a system engineer, wakes up from a nightmare after the staff roll!)

My advice before watching Matrix Revolutions
1. See Reloaded 24 hours beforehand
2. Forget about Japanese cartoons/comics you have read in your life
3. Nothing happens after the staff roll so you can leave a little earlier
