How to bake a crispy pizza at home with a frying pan (Please click Read More)

I watched an NHK TV programme about how to bake pizzas home without buying new equipment this Wednesday, and I thought I could do it. Below is my first try-out this afternoon:

Ingredients for about 2 pizzas
- Bread flour: 100g
- Warm water: 80-100g
- Instant yeast: 3g (one teaspoon)
- mozzarella cheese: as you like
- tomato sauce: as you like
- olive oil: as per you diet method
- topping: as you like, but I recommend an egg per one pizza
- beer: 1 can

1. Mix bread flour with instant yeast and 1/2 teaspoon of salt

2. Pour warm water in the bread flour gradually




3. Mix the flour until it gets sticky



4. Put cling film on the top of the container and leave the flour for about 1 hour to ferment and the size is doubled

5. Extend the flour to make the thickness around 2-3 mm

6. Put the flour in a frying pan and put the toppings, if you put the egg in the centre it will make the pizza look nicer when cooked

7. Put a lid on the pan and put it on a low flame and leave it about 8 minutes to bake

8. Open the beer and watch the pan (very important process)



9.Leave the pan for another minute without heat

10. Enjoy the crispy pizza! (Maybe another beer!)



Today we put bacon, shiitake mushroom, sweet pepper, onion and egg as topping. I think it was okay as a homemade pizza!
