This mural was painted for a 9 year old's bday party at Riverdale Equestrian Ctr in NYC. I designed it (w/ help) & we all worked together to paint it. COMMISSIONS ACCEPTED. kbickman@gmail.com

The stable before we painted it.
My digital plan...I made drawings and put it together in the computer.

The outline...the center icon was changed.
The kids start mixing colors.
Getting started and making decisions on colors.
Cloud painting! We used exterior latex paint.
Filling in the Pegasus.
Everyone is hard at work. It was 93 degrees out today!
Washing the brushes in cool water...a nice relief from the heat of the day.
Filling in the center icon. Skull and crossbone inspired (per bday boy request)
We had to use milk crates to fill in the high parts.
The white clouds stand out nicely against the blue sky.
We had to be sure to drink a lot of water because of the intense heat.
Everyone is working together...the tail gets painted black.
A beautifully orchestrated day with lots of laughter and fun!
Work and play combine to make art.
Cleaning up the lines to make sure the painting looks tidy.
We're still going steady and strong to get the job done!
Painting as a team to outline the border...creates depth.
Kelli (me) outlining the wings on the horse.
Things are starting to look better!
Both horses are filled in and now we fine tune the mural to make it perfect.
This cutie loves to paint!
Here she is filling in the orange bits...she did a great job.
This one dressed the part with her riding gear...here she paints the diamond.
The sun was so hot we were all squinting.
It's starting to look like the original concept!
Calvin the cat makes an appearance in the bottom left corner.
Finishing it up...most of the painters are off eating PIZZA! Yeah!
Here are the remaining boys after pizza and cake. they model the mural very well
