The art of the bubble as brought to you by the team of Bubblologists from Bubblemania. Children witness the creation of large bubbles in an interactive show by Dr Froth who uses audience volunteers as part of his amazing bubble show.
Following the show, children participate in making their own giant bubble creations. Children use ropes and a special mixture to create bubbles of all sizes and shapes.
This interactive show and workshop is held in a previously arranged area over a time period designed to suit your budget and requirements.
Initially a waterproof tarp is laid on the tile floor and then covered with indoor / outdoor marine matting. A total of 20sqm would be required. Picket fencing or some other such barrier would also be required to prevent patrons from straying into the bubble making area.
It is desirable for the workshop area to be situated away from doorways as draught will hinder the bubble creation process.

Bubblemainia – Good Clean Fun
What do you get when you combine a handful of different areas in chemistry with 3D geometry, a dash of physics and large helping of theatre? Bubblemainia!
Bubblemainia is a highly successful West Australian small business, owned and operated by 23 year old Andrew Suttar (aka Dr. Froth). Suttar started Bubblemainia two years after he got hooked creating bubbles for a high school project to develop the best recipe for bubble mixture. He developed a series of shows and educational workshops, using bubbles to communicate messages to audiences of all ages.
Bubble trivia – did you know that : bubbles have been studied by architects for centuries because they create the strongest structures using the most minimal surface; mathematicians use bubbles to solve complex problems; the world’s longest lasting bubble lasted 340 days!
“Bubbles can be quite addictive” warns Andrew, “Sometimes people stay for hours at the workshops just trying to create that one amazing, Giant Bubble. The beauty of the bubbles captures our imaginations and their short lives remind us about the temporary nature of everything”.
Bubblemainia recently presented a giant bubble workshop in Forrest Place as part of the Centenary of Federation Youth Festival. Young people and the general public were able to see the amazing bubble tricks and sculptures that have made Bubblemainia so successful and in demand locally, interstate and overseas.
Andrew Suttar has been selected to participate in the WA Youth Showcase at the Perth Royal Show September 28 to October 6 2001.
The purpose of the WA Youth Showcase is to profile young business people or young enterprising people who have achieved in their local communities in Western Australia.

Science Laboratory Staff Seminar - CountryLab2003...
Bubblemania
Day 2 of the science staff seminar CountryLab 2003 began with a demonstration of the physics and mathematics of bubbles, presented by the expert bubbleologist Andrew Suttar (Dr.Froth) from Bubblemania.
By varying the bubble mixture recipe, bubbles can be made to bounce or be longer lasting, or produce large bubbles. Bubbles blown inside different shaped frames will always form definite angles.
Bubbles blown inside bubbles produce intricate forms. Bubbles produced on a light table give spectacular results and demonstrate diffraction and interference of light waves.
The equipment used to produce the bubbles will be added to the science equipment loan pool in 2004.

Just put your lips together and blow and science can be as easy as whistling.
