PERFORMANCES FOR CHILDREN AND THEIR PARENTS
This is a clownery for children, rising up from the point of view of children, fantasy and joy of play. Besides of the original clownery there are scenes from the big gagmen like Fratellini, Rohm, Jengibarov and others. Part of the performance is also bubbleclownery - clownery with the giant soap bubbles. This performance was awarded with Price of Jiri Trnka by the Czech Dramatic Arts Union.

RESUME
The Theatre of Grotesque was founded in Prague in 1985. It is a non-verbal theatre of Václav Strasser (39) with nine full-lenght pantomime comedies, which have had already 9000 subsequent shows throughout Europe.

SOMNAMBULES
Strongly expressive, polythematic play, in which besides the crazy-comedy, appears side by side with tragedy and black humor, absurdity and exaggeration. This play has indeed strong psychological meaning as well. The whole project was directed in order to remind of movie editing.

NIGHTMARE
Scenic burlesque without words. It is about nightmares of different people of different artistic professions. It is a mixture of crazy comedy, sketch, absurdity, exaggeration, black theatre, shadow-play and giant soap bubbles.

Part of the performance is also bubbleclownery - clownery with the giant soap bubbles.
In all performances there are Václav Strasser and Katia Jiránková playing. The latter one is also pantomime performer, actress, designer and translator for French, Italian and Russian. We also have one technician working with us.
