The FLL 2007 Challenge is POWER
PUZZLE

Learn more about Power Puzzle Challenge for this year's FIRST LEGO
LEAGUE competition.
FIRST LEGO League teams worldwide are starting on the new
challenge, POWER PUZZLE. The FLL competition is a three legged
stool. All parts are equally weighted when awards are being
considered. First, teams have 6-10 weeks to design, build and
program a robot to compete for points on the playing field. At
competition, the team will compete in 3 rounds, each including one
2.5 minute match. Robots are also evaluated during a technical
presentation that allows the team 5 minutes in a quiet space to run
their robot and talk about it. Second, teams do research in the
area of alternative energy, develop a plan to improve the energy
use/efficiency of a building, and present this information to the
public. Third, the team usually completes a teamwork exercise, so
that the judges can observe their team skills in person.
Teams should carefully read the rules, field set-up, mission rules and Q/A for the Power Puzzle Challenge
The
Power Puzzle Resources page also has video up that
explains the missions and scoring. Make sure to check out the
project resources too!
