THE SECRET WORLD OF BUBBLES! You’ve never seen bubbles like this before...
As big as a rainbow colored bathtub wobbling 10-feet off the ground with a liquid-skin thinner than the wavelength of light. Bubbles will bounce, divide and sometimes even swallow you whole if you give them the chance. Even ordinary bubbles are extraordinary.

Yes we can learn a lot from a bubble. That's exactly what this 55ish minute program is all about. Good Science & Amazing Art.

The Secret World of Bubbles is:

• Packed with state-of-the-art bubble sculptures, kinetic and ephemeral, miniscule and mammouth. The bubbles' mission is to snare the attention of your audience and to encourage them to wonder, "How is that possible?" My answer is always...

• Science, of course. We understand how bubbles work because we have science. Throughout the show, science concepts suitable for all pre-Jr high students (K-5 or 6) unfold like the revealing last chapter of an excellent mystery novel. Each clean and logical fact of bubble-life builds on another until we reach the
Gran Finale when a bubble does indeed encase an audience volunteer. At this point no mystery remains about how the effect is possible. Yet the natural wonder of it still sparks fireworks of thrilling appreciation. After all, bubbles are around us all the time. If we only made a bit of an effort to observe and note their shenanigans, washing one's hands or dishes would become fascinating opportunities for scientific observation. Newton, Nightingale and Einstein thought so.

• Educationally sticky science. Liquids, gasses, force, pressure, formulae, "work", gravity, light, historical context, observation, thought experiments... exactly what teachers are working on in class but taken from a spherically alternate angle.

• Unforgettable art. An artist's work is their gift to us. An artist's job is to reflect back to us pieces of our common, taken-for granted, everyday experiences of the world. And through their reflection an artist allows us to re-experience a sliver of our world, making it new again.

This 50 minute program (kindergarten age and older) showcases my discoveries, inventions and shares the science of bubbleology:

Soap films, liquids, tension, pressure, gasses are some of the topics we cover ~ all topics right in line with elementary school curriculum.

Curiosity fueled education: What are the two “secret” ways to reach through a bubble film with out popping it? Who blew a bubble that lived for 340 days and how did he do it? What is in a bubble solution and are there secret ingredients? If a huge square wand is used to encase an audience member in a bubble, is the bubble square too?

Bubbles get them curious, science provides the answers...

Kids want to know how these exciting sculptures work:

Eiffel’s Tower, a three foot tall stack of helium filled, baseball sized bubbles.

Jurassic Bubbles, massive domes containing a T-Rex and swirling wispy-white clouds*.

"He created flower shapes and sent bubbles within bubbles floating toward the ceiling. He broke large bubbles into smaller orbs, gigantic spheres that delighted everyone in attendance." East Bay, Rhode Island Newspapers.

Keith and Foam Smiling
Bubbles as big as bathtubs, chains of bubbles, foamy towers, freely-floating hot air filled bubbles, bouncing bubbles, bare-handed bubbles, bubble cubes, long lived bubbles...

Sculptures like these are full of memorable science lessons.

Yes... I supply tarps for the floor, a sound system and a guarantee. If you’re not happy with the show, I’ll rip up your check.

Fifty times better than TV, proof of which you'll see in the faces of your audience.
