What
To Know Before You Book The Show:
•My
INDOOR
ONLY bubble shows are
humor based, science oriented, artfully presented and run
under an hour. Kids (age 5+) and adults will be equally
transfixed. Younger
children who inevitably
attend age~limited shows must sit with an adult... the
temptation to storm the stage and pop the art may overwhelm
some younger viewers.
•Shorter
performances, strolling/environmental entertainment,
corporate events etc. are available.
I am
not
accepting birthday or family parties at
this time.
•Dedicated
meeting-rooms or theater spaces, with or without a stage,
work best. Cafetoriums & gyms in schools are fine.
Kids usually sit on
the floor with the adults in chairs around the edges.
•Please
Do cone
off or
somehow reserve a convenient parking space for me.
This little effort
makes a huge difference and is greatly appreciated! I have
a lot to carry in.
•My
contracts are straight forward.
When
you hire me, you get me. No sub-contracting surprises.
Once I answer all of your questions & you decide to
book a show here’s what happens: We’ll decide
on a day, I’ll get a contract out to you,
you’ll sign a copy and return it with directions to
your event. Deposits are usually not required. Payment is
made in-full on the day of.
•I'll
arrive about an hour early to get set up.
Break
down will take about forty minutes. Access to a deep sink
is appreciated.
•Still
photography is fine. Videotaping is not.
•You
will be happy with the show or I’ll rip up your
check. Guaranteed.
I
would, but have never had to do this.
•Publicity
photos are available
here.
•Feel
free to create your own poster using any photos you see on
BubbleArtist.com.
It's always fun to
see an original poster hanging on the wall when I arrive at
an event.
•The
show is self-contained.
Floor coverings
guarantee no mess. With my sound system, everyone will be
able to clearly hear what's said. When there's nothing to
say, music carries us along.
You can help to make the performance a
success by...
•Closing
windows near the stage area, ensuring heating/cooling
system air blowers and vents in the room are turned off 10
minutes prior to and throughout the show. Breezes, even
slight, will limit my ability to control the bubbles and
your show will be adversely impacted.
•Lighting
the performance area. Any extra work-lights or bright lamps
you bring in will make a big difference, especially if your
stage area is a dark gym or meeting hall.
•Preparing
for larger than expected attendance. Bubble-shows are like
that. This happens most often at library shows, maximum
capacity for the room is exceeded. Just in case, it
behooves you to have a plan to help you deal with those
folks you might need to turn away. Preemption helps, make
it a ticketed event and let ticket holders in first. Or, in
your publicity make it clear that there are a limited
number of seats and they will be filled on a first come -
first seated basis.

loved your show!"
