Unpastime (n.)
Something that everyone does but that nobody
actually admits to doing, or at least not in public anyway.
The paradoxical nature of unpastimes means that
although a reasonably comprehensive list of examples could be given, these
would, by definition, no longer be considered unpastimes, and therefore giving
such a list of definitions is, by definition, impossible. It is, however, common
knowledge that everyone is in fact doing all of those things that nobody would
admit to doing, and so unpastimes are in fact amongst the most common and
unremarkable phenomena known to
humankind.
