MA 116
MA 116 Information: Southern terminus is at MA 20A in Springfield. Northern terminus is at MA 8 in Adams.
History/Facts: The road when comissioned in 1930 went from Ashfield to Springfield. It was extended to Adams in 1933. The only other changes were the Amherst Bypass built for UMass in the 50s and the "unofficial" truncation of 116 to Chicopee.

The Sunderland bridge.

This is only one of two blue railed bridges I've seen - the other one is in Boston somewhere in the Big Dig. Mass usually paints these guardrails green. I've seen brown ones occasionally, but Blue is rare.

Wow, a directional! Whodathunk.

Hartford is an interesting control, considering that 116 goes no such place.

This used to be the old end of 391 before it was extended into Holyoke.
