AGENT SMITH: I'd like to share a revelation that I've had during my time here. It came to me when I tried to classify your species. I've realized that you are not actually mammals. AGENT SMITH: Every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with the surrounding environment. But you humans do not. You move to an area and you multiply and multiply until every natural resource is consumed and the only way you can survive is to spread to another area. AGENT SMITH: There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern. Do you know what it is? A virus. AGENT SMITH: Human beings are a disease, a cancer of this planet. You are a plague. And we are... the cure. |
I love the logic Agent Smith uses to arrive at the conclusion that humans are a virus to the Matrix. It is true that, as a computer program the Matrix has been infiltrated by another program, the one Morpheus and his crew use to get access to the Agents. And it is true that they are intending to do great damage to the system. However, it is the Matrix that has entered God's world and become a disease to it. |

AGENT SMITH: Why isn't the serum working? AGENT BROWN: Perhaps we are asking the wrong questions. AGENT SMITH: Leave me with him. AGENT SMITH: Now! AGENT SMITH: Can you hear me, Morpheus? I'm going to be honest with you. AGENT SMITH: I hate this place. This zoo. This prison. This reality, whatever you want to call it, I can't stand it any longer. AGENT SMITH: It's the smell, if there is such a thing. I feel saturated by it. I can taste your stink and every time I do, I fear that I've somehow been infected by it. AGENT SMITH: Repulsive, isn't it? AGENT SMITH: I must get out of here, I must get free. In this mind is the key. My key. AGENT SMITH: Once Zion is destroyed, there is no need for me to be here. Do you understand? I need the codes. I have to get inside Zion. You have to tell me how. AGENT SMITH: You are going to tell me or you are going to die. TANK: Hold on, Morpheus. They're coming for you. They're coming. |
Interesting that, because he has spent so much time dealing with humans, he seems to be taking on many human characteristics. Hate, anger, frustration...as a machine he should be emotionless. Agent Smith tells Morpheus that he will die if he does not tell him the codes. But if he kills Morpheus he will be even farther from his goal than is here. I believe that Judas experienced the same frustration. He was so sure that Yeshua was going to be a conquering king that he took it upon himself to put Him in a position where He had to DO something or die. Even if Judas had been right, what he attempted was wrong because it wasn't God's perfect timing. |
