The fear of God is the beginning for knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline. Fear? OK...respect is actually a more correct word, respect and an understanding that He is who He says He is and He does what He says He will do. But the idea here is that we must look to God for truth.
Neo, too, had to search for truth. In the movie, however, he found it inside himself. Of course, as a type of Yeshua, the Christ, he was also a type of God, since the Christ was (is) both man and God. So by looking inside himself he was looking, in effect, to God. (No, I don't think that was the point the writers of the movie were trying to make, however, it IS neat.)
