Kathy Davies - 36, married, unconventional Christian.

Blogging for the Lance Armstrong Foundation. I've known several people who have survived cancer and have received help from LAF and I've known several people whose lives were taken by cancer. LAF is a great organization, helping those with cancer and their families, as well as helping in cancer research.

I'm also a huge fan of Lance Armstrong and, after reading his book, It's Not About the Bike, I've been raising money for LAF in any way I can!

Using Matrix theme because it is a life theme.

So...what about God?

In order to truly show my life as it is reflected in the movie, it is important that I explain who Jesus the Christ, or Yeshua, as I refer to him here, is typed by...because Yeshau (his name in Hebrew) is too important in my life to ignore.

In the movie, the main character, Thomas/Neo, represents Yeshua. For example: Thomas means "twin" which could be a reference to Thomas/Neo's two identities. As Agent Smith tells Neo, "You have been living two lives." (In some ways, Thomas is also a type of you and me. But that's later.)

Anderson - The Greek root "andr" (from andros) means "man." The ending "son" refers to him being "man's son" or "Son of Man," another title given to Yeshua.

Neo - The name "Neo" means "New". Thomas Anderson, "Son of Man" will become a "New person" when he is unplugged from the Matrix.

Yeshua, of course, is the Messiah, the One sent to save humanity from our sins. He is both God and flesh, just as Neo dies towards the end of the movie and comes back to life, Yeshua died on the cross and was resurrected three days later. Yeshua is referred to as both the 'son of God' and the 'son of man.'

So, you see, I will also be talking more about Yeshua in my life. But I will stick to how Yeshua, represented by Neo, is my savior, my light, my salvation and my life.
