I'm
so frustrated.
I have a friend, Shaun, whom I've known since,
oh, 7th grade, I think?? She moved when the summer after our 9th grade year and
we've stayed in touch all these years. We were in or at each other's weddings,
there for each other for divorces, but we've been at least 2 states apart for
over 20 years.
Now, finally, we are in adjoining states! Only hours from each other! She moved in July and I've been trying to visit her ever since. Let's see...had to work 2 weekends late on Friday and/or Saturday morning to get schedules completed for students, then there was the race weekend, a weekend to catch our breath, should have gone THIS weekend but realized it too late and now I'm into scheduling Sept.
Let's see...a surprise weekend for the hubby (which may turn out not to be THAT much of a surprise, after all), a weekend with the girls in GCF, 2 race weekends, a weekend immediately preceeding a 4 day training session that will have me in Atlanta for the week...and now I'm into Oct.
Whew! A little breathing room! We may actually be able to get together in October. I say 'may' because 1) I don't know her schedule and 2) you never know what will come up. But it is my goal to get over there and visit her at least some time in October! (of this year.)
