Well, I finally finished the Ugg boots, then
decided to knit the matching hat! Here they are:
I also put buttons on the baby shirt and decided
to wrap it all up in the blue blanket that everything is laying
on.
The booties and hat seem awfully big for a newborn, but little Jasmine can grow into them. The shirt will fit, I hope. I don't really even know how big she was when she was born and she's a month old now!
Last night was the first night of knitting at the Coffee House. I had 7 girls and a guy stop by to learn! Most of them took some yarn and needles with them to practice during the week. The lessons were ok. I'm not the greatest teacher in the world, but I think everyone who sticks with it will be ok. Several people talked about how relaxing and fun it was, even while they were struggling! There were even several ideas about charity items we can make. I'm really interested in how this will turn out. I was really happy with the results of the first meeting!
