The pups got a new toy from their puppy sitter
while we were on vacation. Oddly enough, it is exactly the kind of thing we
stopped buying because they destroyed others like it so quickly as exuberant
little tykes. It's a plush ball, bigger than a softball, but small enough to
fit in their golden retriever mouths. It also squeaks. But I guess they are all
grown up now {sniff} because they've had it for several weeks and it still has
no holes in it!
The funniest thing about it is that Cooper likes
to sit around with it in his mouth and squeak it. Sometimes Max comes running
when he hears the squeak, then they 'wrestle' over it until they are both
holding onto it and they just sit and stare at each other over the ball.
Occasionally one of them will pull, or play growl, but mostly they just sit and
pant around it, happy to have their teeth in it and their brother's breath in
their mouth, I suppose. It's
adorable.
But, alas, I have no pictures of that to share right now. What I DO have is a few pictures of scarves that I've made for people. (Most of them were given away without pictures being taken, though.)
The first one is one I made for me. The color combinations are kind of strange, so I don't know what I'll wear it with, though.
The next two are gifts for people I won't mention in case they are reading this! These are two of my favorites. Of course, the first one is a close up of the material, because it's just so cool!
So now I'm working on a knitting needle holder. I'm knitting the outside of it and I have a pattern from Amy for the inside of the one she made. (My apologies to Amy on linking to the picture on her site instead of putting it on my own server. I couldn't get it to download properly for some bizarre reason.)
By the way, if you knit, or want to, and you haven't checked out Amy's website, Knitting Help, you really should. Her videos are the bomb! (How do you think I've learned this so fast?!)
