Just a little note to get this part of my blog going again. I've finished Tara.
I changed the sleeves slightly...I prefer them a little flared rather than
tight. I think. I might make another later and use the tighter sleeve...I
don't know. In any case, I've finished a few other things, too, but I need to
get some pics.
I'm getting better at reading these patterns. And
I'm thinking about teaching a knitting class through the local college next
fall. I tried teaching informally, just a 'come and go' kind of thing, but
people come once or twice, don't knit unless they are with me, then need me to
show them how again every time. So I thought, if they pay a fee to take the
class they'll have incentive to do some 'homework,' like knitting 30 minutes a
day. I haven't actually talked to the college, yet, though, so don't get to
oexcited if you're one of those students wanting to register!
I also discovered that my LYS has a group that gets together once a month to knit bandages for a leper community in Louisiana. I've talked to some of the Knearly Knitters and we're going to try to go down and join them.
So I'm getting busy again with all this knitting stuff. Next time I blog I'll tell you about OCD and using ribbon yarn!
