Thanksgiving was nice. We went to my brother's
new huge house for the big day, a five hour trip made a little longer by my
insistence that we search for a few knitting stores along the way. (Chad is so
indulgent!)
The only bad thing was the breaking of the timing
belt. Our poor abused Subaru Outback got us to Huntsville, then decided, on a
trip to Wal-Mart a few hours later, that it had had enough. So we are currently
driving my brother's Jeep Cherokee (I hate this car, but I'm so glad to have
something for the week!) This weekend we will be returning to pick up our car,
so it looks like I'll get even more knitting
done!
Speaking of knitting, I've almost finished another scarf and have started a new one. I'm using a chuky, kinked yarn for this one and it's so fun to work with. A little annoying when I make a mistake, but otherwise really fun. I'll try to get some pictures up in a day or so.
