Why is it that when you are chatting with someone via a chatting program that, upon finding out you are married, they ask if you're happy?

I mean, is this some kind of counseling session? Are they looking for advice? Are the looking to GIVE advice? What a stupid question! Even more invasive than 'do you plan to have kids'! As if I would pour my heart out if I wasn't!
