6.2 Establishing professional goals and pursuing opportunities to grow professionally

Description of Practice

Strong Practice that Exemplifies the Standard

Professional goals are extended and the teacher purposefully pursues opportunities to expand knowledge and skills, and participates in and contributes to the professional community.

Maturing Practice

Professional goals are developed and the teacher pursues opportunities to acquire new knowledge and skills, and participates in the processional community.

Developing Practice

Professional goals are established with assistance. The teacher pursues some opportunities to acquire mew knowledge and skills, but infrequently participates in the professional community.

Practice Not Consistent with Standard Expectations

Professional goals are not established to guide practice. The teacher rarely pursues opportunities to develop new knowledge or skills, or to participate in the professional community.
