| Students learn and achieve more when they work with professional teachers who are fundamentally committed to each and every child’s success and willing to not just deliver effective instruction but also to share and connect with the students at a personal level. |

Redlands High School 1997-present Currently I teach project-based classes in digital media communication including digital imaging, digital video production, web design, and animation in a one-to-one student to computer ratio classroom. I have designed and written most of the curriculum for these courses. The software I use includes PhotoShop, PageMill, iMovie, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Final Cut, and Microsoft Office.
During 2004-2006 I was the co-leader of the Assessment and Accountability Focus group during the WASC accreditation process. RHS was approved for a six-year accreditation.
From 1999-2001 I was the Associated Student Body Advisor, in charge of student government and activities. I taught a group of 40 student leader/representatives as they produced major events like dances (Homecoming and Prom), parades, lunchtime activities, rallies, and assemblies. While with the group I attended a leadership camp and completed a ropes challenge course in Idyllwild, California. I was also directly involved with bringing performers like chalk artist Sam Glenn and vocal group The Bakers Dozen to campus. During this time I also served on the Principal's Cabinet.
In 1997-1998 I co-wrote the Digital High School Grant awarding nearly $1,000,000 to Redlands High School for technology to be used by students. In the grant we designed a variety of uses for technology in the classroom, including the implementation of 15 21st. Century Classrooms, containing 6 iMac or PC computers, a laser printer, scanner, and digital camera.
While at RHS I taught English classes at every grade level. I also taught Introduction to Business Education. In addition, I am CLAD certified to teach sheltered courses to ELL and LEP students.
In 2001 I was nominated Teacher of the Year by the Redlands Educational Partnership Foundation. I received the Steven J. Lehnhof award at Redlands High School.
I am currently the Video Coordinator for the Terrier Football Program. I am responsible for providing students to shoot video of practices and games. Friday nights after the game I edit videotape that is used Saturday morning by the coaches to grade players.

| Author, Cal Teacher Blog (http://calteacherblog.blogspot.com) I have written over 50 articles of approximately 1000 words each focused on teaching and teachers. Subjects range from classroom management to teacher survival. I also collected and posted a CSTP guide (http://homepage.mac.com/kcbibo/cstps/) to assist teachers in understanding and applying the California Standards for the Teaching Profession. Combined page hits to date of the two web sites exceed 22,400. |
