This great blue heron was fishing in a pond at the Fannie Stebbins

Wildlife Sanctuary, East Longmeadow, Massachusetts.   It was late

in the day, overcast, plenty of mosquitos, but otherwise good

shooting.  All shots were taken with a Canon EOS 5D digital SLR,

a 500 mm IS lens with 1.4X teleconverter, a Gitzo 1325 tripod

and Wimberly head.
