The primary escort vehicle is a silver 1995 Chevy Caprice police package. It is dubbed Prometheus, after the Greek Titan.

Equipment on board includes:

• CB radio - AM/SSB

• digital cell phone (GSM)

• VHF/UHF FM business band radio

• GPS - Global Positioning System with moving map display

• dual mode (MPH/KPH) certified digital speedometer

• laptop computer with GPS/mapping software

• airhorn/PA speaker

• DocuCam VHS video recording system with wireless mic

• flags, cones, triangles, flares, vests, hard hat, maps, backup radios, first aid kit, fire extinguisher; all the usual stuff

All this equipment ideally should make the job that much easier, and I believe it does. That is, as long as you know how to use it.
