Cuirass
The cuirass is armour designed to protect the chest and back. Its name comes from the French word for leather: cuir. Armour that only protects the chest and not the back is available for less money. The cloak has been added here since some like to wear them over their armour. Many different styles of armour are available. The following are merely a guideline.

Limbs
Although similar materials have similar DR ratings, the thickness and construction also play a part. Boots can be made much thicker than gloves, since more flexibility is required of the hands. This is what accounts for the difference in DR.
Greaves here refer to armour that covers the front of both thigh (cuisses) and shin. Full greaves cover both front and back, but cost more and must be custom fit.
