Christina Katz Offering Writing and Publishing Nonfiction Articles Class

Wilsonville writer Christina Katz has announced a six-week class for beginning writers to be held at the Wilsonville Public Library beginning on Tuesday, April 19, 2005.

The introductory class is for beginning and experienced writers who wish to practice writing nonfiction articles and find markets for their work. The workshops will take place over six evenings from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

The first three weeks will emphasize writing and include topics such as finding your "voice," brainstorming ideas and integrating research and interviews. The second three weeks will emphasize submitting for publication and include topics such as rewriting, preparing your manuscript for publication and finding markets.

Ms. Katz writing appears in national, regional and online publications. She has a M.F.A. in creative writing from Columbia College Chicago and a B.A. from Dartmouth College. This is her fourth year teaching Writing and Publishing Nonfiction Articles. Many of her former students have been published as a result of following the suggestions outlined in her class.
