Issue #1
Music for this issue: Baby Animals “One Word”
1.) This story takes place in ZAC 2079. This is approximately 20 years before the events of Zoids: Chaotic Century.
2.) Astute readers familiar with Chaotic Century and Guardian Force will note that the Gun Sniper wasn’t rolled out until approximately ZAC 2105. Thus, Cleo’s Gun Sniper is ahead of its time. To this, I can only answer, “Wait and see...” All will be revealed in the last issue. And yes, the Molgas used are captured types that the Republic has pressed into service for testing their weaponry against. Naturally, he Empire does the same with captured Republic equipment.
3.) This first issue is about twice as along as a standard issue which will run from seven to eight pages. There will be anywhere from 15 to 20 total issues depending on how I space the pages and lay them out (splash pages, etc.).
4.) There is no set release time for these issues. The reason being is that due to high production values, this comic has a LOT of work overhead that is shouldered by myself working alone. There is a good bit of “pre-production” that goes into this comic that works as such:
a.) custom Zoid model is built and pilot dossier written for it.
b.) that Zoid is then modeled into a 3D CGI form (Hash Animation: Master 10.0) for the comic.
c.) scripting and layout, etc.
d.) rendering the mecha, drawing and inking the characters, final color and effects.
So basically, once I’m done modelling all of the Zoids that appear in this comic- first in real life, then on computer- the comic will slowly begin to speed up in release time. Kinda like how a TV show is produced more smoothly in the second season after all of the sets have been built and a work flow established. This issue only featured two Zoid types, which, coincidentally, are the only two Zoids I’ve modeled thus far in CGI.

7.) I strived to make this web comic look good and be fun to read, and to make it one of the best fan produced Zoids properties out there. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed making it.
