Index of Websites using "karleklund.net" as part of a redirect address

What this page contains is a list of the URLs for websites prepared by Karl Eklund and using a redirect address that includes the phrase "karleklund.net". These URLs are "redirect" addresses, i.e., they are short and hopefully easy to remember, and allow the website itself to be located anywhere convenient. Some of the actual sites are on "free" servers, which means that the cost of the server is borne by intrusive advertisments rather than rent paid by the webmaster. If the ads on a particular site bother you excessively send an email to karl@karleklund.net. I may not be able to remove the ads completely but I might be able to find a less intrusive server.

As quickly as possible I am transferring the websites to a server run by Apple Computer. This makes some sense because the sites are all prepared on Apple computers.

The Apple server has no ads, but I have to pay for it out of my miniscule pension, so some time in the future I may have to grovel and beg for contributions. Groveling and begging works for Zen monks so I guess I shouldn't worry about it. If you have a strong urge to support this activity send an email to "grovel@karleklund.net" and we will discuss logistics.

One of the significant sites is about the caribbean island nation of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. There is a website at:

http://svg.karleklund.net

This site will always be a work in progresss. It is constructed like a scrapbook so pages can be added. The URL will stay the same even if the detail of the content changes.

The Saint Vincent and the Grenadines site will have a limited number of pictures because pictures take up a lot of space, but there are a lot of pictures available. They can be found on:

http://pix.karleklund.net

The pictures on that site are arranged in order of entry, but they are indexed by "tags", little words or phrases that identify the subject. Thse tags can be addressed directly on:

http://pictags.karleklund.net

There are a few pictures with other subjects, but most of the thousands of pictures relate to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

There is also an extract from Alexandre Moreau de Jonnes' memoires relating to the Carib War of 1795-7 at:

http://1795.karleklund.net

There are also "blogs" that are wholly or partly devoted to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. These include:

http://svgb.karleklund.net

which is a blog particularly relating to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and:

http://blog.karleklund.net

which was my original blog and is more personal.

One of the things that makes Saint Vincent and the Grenadines interesting is its history, particularly the history of the precolonial period. This relates to the present state of Western Civilization, which has been in a decline and fall since 1950. The Garifuna, a Caribbean people of mixed Native American and African ethnicity, were subject to an attempted genocide by the British as part of the Industrial Revolution that provided the birth of Weastern Civilization. They survived, and can perhaps provide a model for the rest of us to follow over the next few generations.

But we do not need to follow a model blindly, as earlier civilization-builders did, because the basic theory of civilization-building is described on a site I call "Wholly holistic evolution, Mr. Darwin" and which is located at:

http://we.karleklund.net

This site contains the book of that title (it had other titles before now) that starts with a correction of the Spencerian-Darwinist characterization of evolution as "Survival of the Fittest". Because that viewpoint is not only obviously wrong for human beings but encourages intra-species conflict it is a weakness that allows fundamentalists to exploit anti-scientific sentiment. By getting evolution correctly we are able to explain the evolution of human society up to the decadent bureaucracy we are presently experiencing.

There's a short version that may be easier to read, at:

http://whatnow.karleklund.net

There are also short essays, corrections or updates on selected topics on the blogs at:

http://socevol.karleklund.net

and

http://godblog.karleklund.net

Using that as a basis, it is possible to make some guesses about the future. One such guess is described in the novel "Utopia", which can be found at:

http://utopia.karleklund.net

One of the difficulties of finding a valid and useful description of social evolution is that our way of thinking about evolution in general is flawed. Just as the classical behaviorists made a mistake in using scalar algebra where matrix algebra was required Darwin (at Spencer's suggestion) made a mathematical error in formulating natural selection as "survival of the fittest". The correct way of formulating evolution is a part of the "Wholly Evolution" site, but for convenience it is also available at:

http://evol.karleklund.net

There are also some samples of writing about subjects I have been interested in at one time or another, like folk music:

http://folksongstuff.blogspot.com/

Or farming life:

http://rfd.karleklund.net

Or the part of Massachusetts we can be found in in the summer:

http://semass.karleklund.net

Finally, there was a page devoted to the fiberart creations of my wife, Sally Eklund but it got erased. You can see them now on Flickr if you go to

http://pix.karleklund.net

and look for the set labeled "Sally's Quilts" on the right side of the page.

I noticed that I didn't include all the blogs. They include:

http://godblog.karleklund.net

http://folk.karleklund.net

http://evolsci.karleklund.net

The page you are looking at can be reached at the URL:

or:

or even:

I hope you take the time to look at any of these sites whose subject may interest you, and that you enjoy what you find.Send questions or comments to Karl@karleklund.net
