 Progressive Suspension had updated their product page with many new products listed. The photo is the new Freeride air suspension. I had tried the XC version and since the top mount hole is small, the pin that placed over the bolt has to be thin, therefore the pin had gotten bent and broke the bolt. If the mounting hole is larger, the pin could be thicker to give more overall strength to the bold. I can't tell if this one comes in larger hole. The Manitou Swinger Air suspensions (both 3-way and 4-way) come with larger mout hole than 5th Air and I never had broken the bolt after over 1 year.
But I think the seal of my Swinger Air 3-way had given up after several downhill ridings. The 4-way is fine. So, I'm debating what shock to change from 3-way. |
