Fri - June 20, 2008Mon - January 21, 2008MLK I'm concerned about brotherhood. I'm concerned
about truth. And when one is concerned about these, he can never advocate
violence. For through violence you may murder a murderer but you can't murder.
Through violence you may murder a liar but you can't establish truth. Through
violence you may murder a hater, but you can't murder hate. Darkness cannot put
out darkness. Only light can do that..... Difficult and painful as it is, we
must walk on in the days ahead with an audacious faith in the future. When our
days become dreary with low-hovering clouds of despair, and when our nights
become darker than a thousand midnights, let us remember that there is a
creative force in this universe, working to pull down the gigantic mountains of
evil, a power that is able to make a way out of no way and transform dark
yesterdays into bright tomorrows. Let us realize the arc of the moral universe
is long, but it bends toward justice.

Taki’s Top Drawer, edited by Taki Theodoracopulos Taki sez: Why start this new online magazine? According to the just-turned-70 writer—who’s fit as a fiddle, and active in competitive martial arts—“I want to shake up the stodgy world of so-called ‘conservative’ opinion. For the past ten years at least, the conservative movement has been dominated by a bunch of pudgy, pasty-faced kids in bow-ties and blue blazers who spent their youths playing Risk in gothic dormitories, while sipping port and smoking their father’s stolen cigars." . ![]() Posted at 06:48 PM READ ARTICLE Wed - January 31, 2007War by Steve CulverWar
By Steve Culver, Jan 31, 2007 War is nothing but a tool of big business and finance used to control: resources, markets regions, and peoples. Always has been, always will be. War is the Iron Heel of the oligarchy pressed upon the necks of the people. Until, in a Pavlovian response, they beg for more. More war, more control, more tyranny, and abuse. Wagging their tails and barking on command. WAR WAR WAR WAR WAR WAR WAR They swallow the lies that war is good and necessary for we are truly in danger. They clamor for more. These terrorist attacks are getting stranger and stranger. And in their fear induced adulation they feed their children into the meat grinder. War is a sucker' game and I ain't gonna play. And neither should you..... Posted at 09:45 PM READ ARTICLE Fri - November 10, 2006Protesting Iraq war, Malachi Ritscher sets self on fire and dies.... So judge me by my actions. Maybe some

... Endless pondering of existential gray areas could be interrupted by a totally spontaneous act: jumping in his car to drive downtown and participate in the Sears Tower stair-climb (2003). When he read Goethe's words "Nowhere but in his own Montserrat will a man find happiness and peace", his first thought was to find out where it is, and then book a flight there. He had memorized Pi to the 1101 decimal place, and would recite it at will. He could shave with a straight razor. He loved cinnamon rolls. He loved the smell of turpentine. He also loved motorcycles, which he wisely avoided. In the words of Stephen Wright, he was a 'peripheral visionary'. His sense of humor was droll - he theorized that surprise and not tragedy was the most important element of comedy. His favorite joke was to walk into a room, sniff the air, and observe "it smells like snot in here". His favorite word was 'ominous'. His favorite two words were 'Tahitian hiatus'. He always carried his passport with him. .. ![]() Posted at 01:56 PM READ ARTICLE Wed - November 8, 2006Sun - November 5, 2006Thu - November 2, 2006Re: Is Guerilla News Network a Psy-op?..."Is GNN a Psy

... Iraq Veterans Against the War recently learned of a video interview with Jesse MacBeth that directs viewers to IVAW’s website and phone number. IVAW was not made aware of the creation of this video program and our input on it was never sought by its producers. Jesse MacBeth is not a spokesperson for IVAW and any claims made by MacBeth about his service have not been verified. We are currently investigating these claims and will have a full statement pending its resolution. http://www.ivaw.net/index.php?id=218 Posted at 09:34 PM READ ARTICLE |
