REALLY! What a great dream.
I had been driving most of the day when i came to a very small town, maybe a 1/4 mile from end to end. It was so dry and dusty you could barely see the pavemnt, no sidewalks or curbs. I was heading east and on the north side of the town were a few very large metal buildings, on the right a couple of old houses with picket fences. Just as i pulled into town i saw a small market on the right set back from the road with 4 parking spaces all of which were marked hadicapped. So i drove by and pulled into the generous easment in front of the first house. There was a shiney black suv parked in front of the market, on the street. Blocks ahead i saw a guy walk across the street then there was a cia type at my passenger window. It was the guy from Matrix, not neo....dark clothes, white shirt, thin tie and dark shades (of course). He leaned to the windowon the passenger's side (like there was traffic?) and said, "you can't park here".
I looked around, no other cars on the street but lots of space, "why not, there's enough room here for SIX cars?"
"You can't park here, just find another space"
"look i just want to get something to drink from the market and maybe some fruit. All their spaces are handicap. i don't mind walking 1/2 a block"
"well, it's not that, you just can't park here now"
"i'll be 2 minutes, just need to get out of the car and get something to drink. Besides, what's the big deal?"
The place looked deserted but i figured it was the afternoon heat that drove every one inside. I hadn't been listening to the radio so had no idea .........he came over to the driver's side, "so you must not know?"
"What???"
"prez bush was arrested.....for war crimes AND extortion.'
"YES!!! Who hoo(beat steering whaeel w/fists)....FINALLY....gawd that's great news!!!" He remained expressionless and i couldn't see his eyes behind those dark, dark, shades. " but what does that have to do with this place...out here in the middle of nowhere?" i asked.
Looks up and down the street, "well apparently cheney was arrested too, they found a bunch of child pornography when they searched bushes place and he and cheney had been swapping child porn links via email. Cheney has some link to this town, comes here a few times a year so they figure he has a stash of more child porn here. There are several other agents on the way to conduct the search. So...you see, you can not park here"
Pretty kewl huh? I woke up part way thru the dream but was able to go back and finish it. What a wonderful dream. I checked the news right away but.....it was, after all...only a dream.
