Meanwhile, not directly related to the photo, one of our forum members tried to deliver relief to Neo Orleans.

Good Day all. My name is G. I am the Wife of M.

Here is an update for all that is interested.

The group of 20 went down with three 18 wheelers and 2 motor homes. They met with another group here and all agreed to go together. Each of the groups had permission to go and hand out goods to the people.

As they got close they hit a check point he said. The national guard went through the whole truck and took all camera and video recorders. They claim they will ship them back to Ma. For some reason the Gov does not want them shooting films.

A mile down the road another check point. This time they were told to go home. They said no one is allowed in not even to hand out water. Mike also met with a few doctors that said they wont let them in either. A minister saw him and called them into the church. He said inside was about 400 people that had been told to leave. About 50 trucks filled w ith goods for these people are not allowed in. Even rescue workers with boats and heatseeking goggles.

A mile past the check point is a "Tribe" of 50 people they are going to try to get to. They are bunkered in a bar and wont leave. They want to at least bring them food and water and medical supplies.

There is also a few schools with people too. They hope to get close to them. The only thing in there favor is there is so many people trying to help and only 20 guards. So if they can find a close area beyond the guards they will go right past them.

He talked about the bodies. A nursing home they walked to had 80 dead inside he was told by a cop who just quit. The death toll they claim is only 56. But he said he saw many bodies in the streets piled up. One group he met rescued a small boy. His parents died and he stayed with the bodies. They found a group of pets also. About 25 dogs that came right over for food and water. they are sick and he said they will be taking them out asap. So far one truck is empty from feeding the ones before the check point. Once they empty them all they will head back.

Once back he will stay at Edwards Airforce base. They will be sending about 4000 people there from New Orleans. The groups will work with those people. Get them food clothes and help find them jobs.

Thats all know right now if anyone was interested. He couldnt talk long because it was so loud there. He was on MSNBC when they first arrived. But I missed it.

Like I said this is for anyone that might be interested.

I hope you all have a good day and keep up the fight
