In 1970 while working for the stridently pro Israel senator Henry (Scoop) Jackson an FBI wiretap uncovered classified information being discussed with the Israeli Embassy by the then 28 year old Richard Perle. An NSA investigation focused on Helmut Sonnenfeld who was himself previously investigated for disclosing secret documents to the Israeli Government. Later in 1978 Perle received classified documents from David Sullivan. The CIA's Stansfield Turner tried to fire Sullivan but Sullivan quit, Turner then urged Jackson to fire Perle but Perle was given a reprimand, meanwhile Sullivan was immediately hired by Senator Jackson. -- Source: Stephen Green, Counterpunch Jan 1-15, 2004

Here is what former Fmr. Congressman Paul Findley has to say; "An FBI summary of a 1970 wiretap recorded Perle discussing classified information with someone at the Israeli embassy. He came under fire in 1983 when newspapers reported he received substantial payments to represent the interests of an Israeli weapons company. Perle denied conflict of interest, insisting that, although he received payment for these services after he had assumed his position in the Defense Department, he was between government jobs when he worked for the Israeli firm."
It keeps on leaking with Perle, in 1983 Perle comes under fire for accepting 50K from an Israeli arms manufacturer, and in March 17, 2003 the New Yorker expose by Seymour Hersh pops Perle again in the Trireme affair ( tri-ream ?) where Perle is dealing with Iran-Contras Adnan Khashoggi. Perle "according to Saudi Ambassador Prince Bandar, offered to call off of his and his fellow neo-con's Saudi-bashing operations, in return for a $100-million payoff `investment'' in one of his companies, Trireme Partners L.P." Perles response is to call Hersh a 'terrorist'.
And let's not forget Perle's connections to Global Crossing and China -->> Link Not surprising really if we recall that Israel was selling weapons to Iran while we were selling WMD to Iraq during the Iran/ Iraq war.

Moving on to Paul Wolfowitz. in 1978 Wolfowitz working for the Arms Control and Disarmament Agency is involved in an inquiry when it is found out that he provided a classified document to an Israeli Government official through an AIPAC contact. In 1992 the Bush I administration commences an investigation of the export of classified military technology to China. It is discovered that Wolfowitz is lobbying for the sale to Israel of the AIM-9 air to air missile. The Joint Chiefs headed by Colin Powell intervenes knowing that Israel has been caught selling an earlier variant of the AIM -9 missile to China. -- Source: Stephen Green, CounterPunch, Jan 1-15, 2004.

The AIM -9's, you all know that missile, you saw it embedded on the wingtips of the Chinese jets that intercepted our spy plane.

It would be interesting to ask Powell about that at the next opportunity, just to watch.

And Feith ? In 1982 Feith was fired due to an FBI inquiry into whether he provided secret documents to who else, the Israeli Embassy.
