TOP: My QTH tent camp with a few of the six antennas on a rare sunny day. Note wind break reinforced by logs. Location is in an abandoned gravel pit, used during construction of the Trans-Labrador Highway in mid-1990s, one of the few open areas available for an antenna farm. Most of Labrador is very heavily forested with Black Spruce. Car hood is open during a 20-minute battery charge; for a deeper charge, I used the generator. BOTTOM: My "ham shack" station inside my tent. At the top is a Kenwood TS-50 with MFJ antenna tuner over my backup rig, a Kenwood TS-520. Table is tongue and groove 1/2" plywood construction with shelving under and on left. It also has removable "feet" to fit in the car for mobile operations. This photo was taken early in the operation; later, the tent walls became covered with more charts, maps, and QSL cards (a number from June QSOs were packaged and sent to me by my home Postmaster).
