Logistics costs (e.g., direct travel costs, lodging, food, laboratory supplies, printing/publishing costs, shipping costs) are generally not covered in these fees. Specific logistics fees for any particular project will generally be determined in advance of a contract unless the contract is issued on an emergency basis in which instance a verbal estimate will be given with the understanding that all unique fees may not be foreseen.
Travel time will be generally prorated at 30%, but not to exceed 50%.
Sub-consultants or sub-contractors will be on a reimbursement basis.
Legal fees: to be covered by the client on a reimbursement basis. Expert Witness fees are $100 per chargeable hour including non-prorated travel time.
Some fees and costs cannot be determined before commencement of any particular project. If unexpected fees and/or costs are found necessary for completion of a contract, the client will be notified before BRS obligates itself or the client.
